First State National Historic Park

On our way up to Poughkeepsie, NY we decided to stop at the First State National Historic Park in New Castle, DE. The main street is very cute and definitely worth popping into one of the shops. The waterfront was gorgeous with an historic ship on which you can take a tour. We only visited one site, but First State National Historical Park consists of six individual sites that are spread throughout the state of Delaware.

  1. Brandywine valley

2. Fort Christina

3. Old Swedes Historic Site

4. New Castle Courthouse Museum

5. The Dover Green

6. John Dickinson Plantation
